About the Hyosung ST E3
The Hyosung ST-E3 EVA is an electric city scooter from 2016. It uses a 2.8 kW brushless DC hub motor, automatic drive and a lithium-ion battery beneath the floor. It is therefore not a petrol scooter: on a used ST-E3, prioritise battery health, charging equipment, the original charger and availability of electrical parts. Its compact 12-inch wheels and low seat height target urban use.

What to check before buying
- Check battery pack, charge cycles, real-world range, fault messages and available capacity with diagnostics or a documented test.
- Check that the original charger is present, charges safely from a household outlet and has undamaged leads and connectors.
- Inspect hub motor, wiring, fuses, controller and contacts for moisture, corrosion or improvised repairs.
- Check both brake discs, tyres, 12-inch wheels, fork and monoshock for safe condition after city use.
- Check registration, homologation and insurance status for the local market; electric scooters may be approved differently by country.
