About Hyosung
Hyosung is a South Korean motorcycle brand, part of the S&T Motors group (formerly Hyosung Motors & Machinery). The brand began motorcycle production in 1978 and grew into one of the larger Asian manufacturers outside Japan. The range includes sport bikes (GT series), naked bikes, cruisers (GV series/Aquila), and scooters from 50 cc to 700 cc. Models are sold internationally and designed for accessible mobility and sporty riding.
In the Netherlands, Hyosung is particularly popular as an entry-level model for younger riders and as an A2-licence-compliant motorcycle. The GT125R and GT250R are common beginner-category used bikes. The brand offers good value for money; parts are reasonably available through the importer and wholesale suppliers. The rider base is broad: from new licence holders to sportily inclined riders on a budget. Hyosung competes directly with entry-level models from Kawasaki, Honda, and Suzuki in the sub-35 kW segment.
