Since 2022, the Husqvarna Norden 901 has been the travel-focused adventure on the 889 cc LC8c twin platform. Its 77 kW/105 hp parallel twin, 21/18-inch wheels, 19-litre tank and 854 mm seat make it less extreme than a pure enduro but much more capable on unpaved roads than a road tourer. The 2024 update did not change displacement to 947 cc; the Norden remained an 889 cc model.
The Norden 901 Expedition is a distinct equipment version with longer, fully manually adjustable WP XPLOR suspension, a higher seat and more off-road protection. That suspension is neither electronic nor semi-active. In adverts, therefore confirm that it is genuinely an Expedition: its name, longer travel, higher off-road equipment and specific suspension matter more than panniers or a tall screen fitted to a standard Norden.
