About the Honda CH 125
The Honda CH 125, usually known as the Spacy 125, is an early comfort-oriented 125cc scooter. Its compact automatic drivetrain and generous bodywork were intended for everyday urban use, offering more weather protection and carrying capacity than a moped scooter. Many examples were imported later, so a Dutch registration date does not always show the true build year.
A CH 125 suits an enthusiast of early Japanese scooters or a rider seeking a light automatic for calm journeys. The mechanics are straightforward, but an original complete scooter matters: body panels, specific lamps and small interior parts can be harder to find than normal service parts. Check cold starting, belt/CVT behaviour, leaks and damage to the plastics. A well-kept example with matching paperwork is normally worth more than a cosmetically restored scooter missing key details.

What to check before buying
- Inspect plastic panels, mountings and the screen for cracks; CH/Spacy-specific parts are scarce.
- Ride the scooter fully warm and watch for slipping, rattling or jerking from the CVT transmission.
- Check carburettor, automatic choke and vacuum hoses for stable cold starting and idle.
- Look for rust in the frame, floor area and beneath the bodywork, especially on imports or scooters stored outside.
