The Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic (FLHTCU) is the fully equipped touring flagship of Harley's Touring range, produced from 1989 to 2013. The engine is an air-cooled Twin Cam V-twin, initially 88 cu in (1450 cc), later expanded to 96 cu in (1570 cc), delivering up to 130 Nm of torque. Standard equipment includes a large windscreen, hard-case saddlebags, heated passenger seat, stereo system with intercom and windscreen wipers on the fairing. The Ultra Classic was the most comprehensively equipped long-distance tourer Harley ever offered under this nameplate, and was replaced in 2014 by the Electra Glide Ultra Limited.
The Ultra Classic targets riders who want to cover long distances in maximum comfort with a passenger. Its weight of around 370 kg demands confidence at low-speed manoeuvres, but on the highway it compensates with stable behaviour and abundant equipment. Direct competitors include the BMW K1600GTL and Honda Gold Wing. A well-maintained used example offers exceptional value for money; replacement parts are widely available.
A used Harley Davidson Ultra Classic costs €11,750 on average. Most cost €8,590 to €18,550. This is based on 13 motorcycles for sale now.
