Gilera DNA 50

The Gilera DNA 50 is a 50cc scooter with the stance and styling of a lightweight sports motorcycle: larger wheels, motorcycle-like bodywork and an automatic CVT rather than a gearbox. That makes it appealing to riders who want a moped that looks less conventional, but it also makes original parts and correct assembly important. Always compare registration and frame number and inspect any changes to the exhaust or transmission; modified and poorly reassembled examples are common in this class.

The DNA 50 is primarily an urban machine. It is not a full lightweight motorcycle and offers less luggage space and weather protection than a conventional scooter. A standard, well-maintained example is a better prospect than a fast-looking machine without service history. Look beyond the panels: the condition of the CVT, brakes, tyres and electrical system determines how usable it really is.
