About the Gilera 300 B
The Gilera 300 B is a classic 300cc Gilera. RDW proposals give a 300cc reference and Dutch registrations around the mid-1950s, but an individual machine must always be identified by numbers and specification. Historic image sources also show a B300 Extra in 1957; use such clues as a starting point, not as a substitute for inspecting the motorcycle itself.
This is a bike for enthusiasts of classic engineering and relaxed riding. Check the fundamentals first: engine health, frame, wheels, brakes and paperwork. A complete, mechanically honest machine is preferable to a beautifully painted motorcycle with unknown engine work.

What to check before buying
- Verify frame number, engine number and documents; distinguish B300 parts from other Gilera singles.
- Start cold and check for smoke, leaks, compression loss and unusual mechanical noises.
- Inspect brakes, spoked wheels, steering-head bearings, forks and wiring for corrosion, play and age-related damage.
