The V4 Rally is the travel and off-road-oriented version with a larger 30-litre tank, longer suspension travel and 19-inch front wheel. Radar and Full Adventure are equipment designations within this Rally, not another engine.

Years2022–present
The Pikes Peak is the road-focused flagship with 17-inch wheels, Öhlins Smart EC suspension and the 1,158cc Granturismo V4. Match only when Pikes Peak is explicit; colour or individual Öhlins parts are insufficient.

Years2021–2024
The first standard Multistrada V4 brings the 1,158cc Granturismo V4 to adventure touring. It uses conventional suspension; S, Pikes Peak, Rally and RS require explicit designation.

The Ducati Multistrada V4 is the flagship of the Multistrada range, launched in 2021 as the successor to the 1260. Its core is the 1158 cc Granturismo V4 engine producing 170 hp, the same architecture as the Panigale V4, retuned for long-haul comfort and broad mid-range delivery. Radar-assisted adaptive cruise control, front-and-rear riding aids, and a fully adjustable electronic suspension (Skyhook on the S) make this one of the most technologically advanced adventure-tourers on the market.
The Multistrada V4 targets experienced riders who cover long distances and want occasional off-road capability without sacrificing on-road dynamics. Seat height is adjustable between 840 and 870 mm. This is not a beginner's motorcycle, the power demands respect. It competes directly with the BMW R 1250 GS and KTM 1290 Super Adventure, but stands apart with Ducati's characteristic engine character and sharper road-biased handling.
Check the Skyhook suspension for fault codes; sensors can develop issues at higher mileage
Inspect the front and rear radar units for damage or miscalibration, especially after any low-speed tip-over
Check bodywork and frame sliders for crash evidence; the high centre of gravity makes stationary drops common
Check the cooling system for leaks: the V4 engine runs hot in heavy city traffic
Ask for full service history: the 30,000 km major interval is generous, but interim oil checks are sometimes skipped
