2009 Concept 6 study
GenerationBMW’s café-racer-inspired concept study shown in November 2009 around a compact 1.6-litre inline-six. It remained a concept and is not a trim of the later-produced K 1600 GT/GTL.
About the Bmw Concept 6
The BMW Motorrad Concept 6 is a genuine BMW concept motorcycle presented in November 2009. It was not a production model, so it must not be interpreted as a used motorcycle or a technical trim of a K 1600. BMW used the study to show an exceptionally compact transverse inline-six of around 1.6 litres in café-racer-inspired styling.
The Concept 6 nevertheless matters in BMW Motorrad’s engineering history: its six-cylinder preceded the later-announced K 1600 GT and K 1600 GTL, but those production motorcycles are separate catalogue models with their own final specifications. The Concept 6 itself has no normal model years, trims, homologation or market stock. This profile is therefore only a reference for the 2009 concept study; do not compare asking prices, parts or registration data with production motorcycles.
