DB10 B.Motard (2012-2015)
GenerationThe production DB10 B.Motard combines the air/oil-cooled Ducati 1,078 cc Desmodue with Bimota's tall, short supermoto layout. Look for DB10/B.Motard markings and the 1,078 cc two-valve engine; do not blend it with DB7/DB8 superbikes or a later DB10R colour treatment.
About the Bimota DB 10
The Bimota DB10 B.Motard is Bimota's supermoto-flavoured machine from the 2011-2015 period. It uses an air/oil-cooled 1,078 cc Ducati Desmodue 90-degree V-twin with desmodromic valve gear, wrapped in a short Bimota design with a steel trellis frame, aluminium side plates and premium Marzocchi and Extreme Tech components. Its tall handlebar and long-travel stance make it fundamentally different from the fully faired DB7; this is Bimota's own B.Motard, not a converted Ducati Hypermotard.
It suits an experienced rider seeking a very rare, direct-steering street supermoto who accepts specialist maintenance. It is light for its capacity and has the character of an air-cooled Ducati twin, but the exclusive body and chassis parts make originality and documentation especially important. Buy on service history, check desmo and belt work, and assess body panels, mounts, exhaust and electrical work separately from the familiar Ducati engine.

What to check before buying
- Check invoices for cambelt and desmodromic valve-clearance work; the air-cooled Ducati twin requires time-based specialist maintenance.
- Inspect the trellis frame, aluminium side plates, steering head and every mount for crash, wheelie or track damage and non-original repairs.
- Test the adjustable Marzocchi fork and Extreme Tech rear shock for full damping action and leaks; overhaul work and parts are less routine than on a Ducati.
- Check the starting system, charging voltage and wiring loom, and require documentation for every ECU, intake or exhaust change.
- Confirm frame and engine numbers, original Bimota-specific parts and the road legality of the exhaust and lighting.
