About the Beta Zero 250
The Beta Zero 250 is a genuine early-1990s trials motorcycle, not a polluted reference to an RR, Alp or Techno. Historic registrations and adverts show Zero 250 examples from 1990, 1991, 1992 and 1993. Available sources do not, however, provide a sufficiently consistent technical data set or full production range. MotorMonitor therefore does not assign displacement, power, a year range or a generation to this profile.
Use this page as a recognition point and verify the frame number, engine number, identification plate and model year before buying or ordering parts. A Zero 250 is built for trials sections, balance and low-speed work, not RR-enduro use or long road journeys. On a classic example, cold starting, compression, clutch, brakes, suspension, wheel and steering-head bearings matter more than mileage. Technical values should only be associated with an advert once the exact variant has been demonstrably identified.

What to check before buying
- Verify a Zero 250 with frame and engine number; Zero ran from 1990 through 1993 and is separate from TR34, Techno and RR.
- Check compression, carburettor, inlet sealing, ignition and cold start for clean response.
- Test clutch, gearbox and chain under low load; trials bikes often show wear in controls before mileage does.
- Inspect aluminium frame, engine mounts, steering stops, forks, swingarm and bearings for cracks or play.
- Check brakes, rims, spokes and tyres; old trials tyres and brake parts are safety-critical.
