About the Beta TR 34
The Beta TR 34 is a classic trials family from the second half of the 1980s, clearly separate from later Techno, Rev and RR models. Different capacities exist under the same TR 34 name, including documented 125 and 260 variants. MotorMonitor therefore does not attach one displacement, power figure, production range or technical edition to this broad family name.
Use this profile as a recognition point and always verify frame number, engine number, model year and actual capacity before ordering parts or comparing an advert. A TR 34 is built for trials sections, balance and low-speed work, not modern enduro performance or long road journeys. On a classic example, cold starting, compression, clutch, brakes, suspension and bearings matter more than mileage. Technical filter values belong on the page only when the exact TR 34 variant has been demonstrably identified.

What to check before buying
- Verify TR34 version and capacity from frame and engine number; 125, 200, 240 and 260 are separate trials variants.
- Check compression, fuel system, ignition and cold starting for clean, predictable response.
- Inspect clutch, gearbox, chain and shift lever under load; trials use makes play immediately relevant.
- Check frame, steering stops, forks, swingarm and linkage bearings for cracks, bends and play.
- Inspect brake discs, calipers, rims, spokes and tyres for condition; section use can cause damage without high mileage.
