Generations and editions
Features and handling differ by generation. Use this overview to find the right version.
Years
2005 - 2014
2005-2014 Alp 125 4T
GenerationThe later Alp 125 4T retained the air-cooled 124 cc single, with a compact trail layout, low removable-seat option and five-speed gearbox. Check the year carefully: Beta evolved the specification gradually during this long production run.
Years
2000 - 2004
2000-2004 Alp 125 4T
GenerationThe first Alp 125 4T replaced the two-stroke approach with a calm, air-cooled 124 cc single. Its low seat and modest output make this the accessible trail variant; check the carburettor, starting system and model-year-specific chassis.
Years
1996 - 2000
1996-2000 Alp 125 2T
GenerationThe early Alp 125 with a 124 cc two-stroke engine. This light trail bike is not technically interchangeable with the later four-stroke; always verify model year, engine type and frame number before comparing parts or specifications.
About the Beta Alp 125
Beta used the Alp 125 name for more than one light trail/enduro variant. Sources distinguish an early 125 cc two-stroke and a later Alp 125 4T, with year differences within the four-stroke series as well. The catalogue name alone is therefore insufficient to establish engine, output, weight or parts reliably.
For an advert, always confirm model year, maker's plate, frame number and whether the engine is two- or four-stroke. Only then can engine code, carburation, exhaust, brakes, electrics and correct parts be assessed. Do not attach a technical value to a generic ‘Alp 125’ reference without that identification.

What to check before buying
- Confirm model year and two- or four-stroke engine; Alp 125 is not one single technical variant.
- Check frame number, engine number and maker's plate against manufacturer or registration data.
- Inspect cold starting, compression, carburation and exhaust only against the identified engine type.
- Test clutch, gearbox, chain drive, brakes and suspension for wear and safe operation.
- Check 12V electrics, wiring and charging; use parts appropriate only to the verified model year.
