BN 302 / TNT 300 (2015-2019)
GenerationThe BN 302/TNT 300 is the original naked 300 with a liquid-cooled parallel twin and six-speed gearbox. Identify it by BN 302 or TNT 300 type data; it does not automatically share its engine specification with the later 302S or faired 302R.
About the Benelli BN 302
The Benelli BN 302 is a naked bike with a liquid-cooled 300 cc parallel twin, six gears and a steel trellis frame. In some export markets the same base is sold as the TNT 300, so the BN 302 is neither the later 302S nor the faired 302R. Its engine makes power high in the rev range and has a grown-up twin-cylinder character, but at roughly 185 kg it is not an ultra-light 300.
For an A2 rider or commuter seeking an affordable naked twin, the BN 302 is most appealing for its sound, twin-cylinder feel and conventional engineering. Buy one with documented servicing and always verify the exact type designation, ABS equipment and market version on imports. At a viewing, pay particular attention to the cooling system, chain set, charging voltage and consumables, and assess whether the relatively high low-speed weight suits you.

What to check before buying
- Ask for invoices covering oil services, coolant and valve checks, then test cold starting, idle quality and the cooling fan.
- Inspect chain, sprockets and rear-wheel alignment for wear or poor maintenance; a 300 twin is often used heavily in city traffic.
- Measure charging voltage and inspect battery, earth connections and plugs for corrosion or non-original accessories.
- Test the clutch, six-speed gearbox and throttle response fully warm, and check discs, pads and any ABS operation on the individual bike.
- Verify BN 302/TNT 300 designation, year and ABS equipment by VIN and registration; do not mix it with 302S or 302R parts without part numbers.
