The Aprilia RXV 450 is a race-derived enduro with an unusual 449cc 77-degree V-twin, liquid cooling and dry-sump lubrication. It is separate from the larger-capacity RXV 550, the road-focused SXV supermoto and the pure MXV motocross bike. Its compact twin gives the RXV a very different character from a typical single-cylinder 450: eager, narrow and aimed at an experienced rider wanting a specialised off-road machine.
The first RXV 450 arrived in 2006 and a substantial technical update followed for 2009. On a used example, the exact model year, service history and intended use matter more than the mileage alone. This is not a comfortable all-round adventure bike: its tall seat, enduro wheels and performance suit enduro and rally use. Also confirm that it remains in the intended legal configuration and that a specialist knows the machine.
