About the Adler M 200
The Adler M 200 is the early post-war twin-cylinder model in Adler's M series. Its 195 cc air-cooled parallel-twin two-stroke debuted in 1951; the later MB 200 is a separate development with different performance and equipment details. Keep M 200 and MB 200 separate in a listing. Check engine and frame numbers, premix lubrication, carburettor, crank seals, ignition and the condition of the suspension and drum brakes.

What to check before buying
- Check crank seals, bearings, cylinders and pistons for wear; a two-stroke consuming transmission oil can indicate leaking seals.
- Check the carburettor, tank, tap and fuel lines for contamination, leaks and correct setup.
- Check the 6V ignition, dynamo, wiring and connectors for reliable spark, charging voltage and lighting.
- Inspect front and rear suspension, drum brakes, spoked wheels, bearings and tyres for safe condition.
- Verify the type plate, engine and frame numbers and configuration against period documentation; M 200 and MB 200 are not identical.
