1953-1957 MB 250 Favorit
GenerationThe MB 250 Favorit is the comfort-equipped 247 cc Adler twin from 1953–1957. Use ‘MBS 250 Favorit’ only as a search term, not as a proven separate factory type; verify numbering and equipment on each motorcycle.
About the Adler Favorit
The Adler Favorit is the comfortable final development of Adler's post-war MB 250 twin-cylinder motorcycle, not the identically named pre-war car. From 1953 the motorcycle was offered as the MB 250 Favorit with a 247 cc air-cooled parallel-twin two-stroke and four speeds. The later ‘MBS 250 Favorit’ name occurs in many catalogues, but is not documented as the official factory designation. Always verify the type plate, frame number and documentation.

What to check before buying
- Check crank seals, bearings, cylinders and pistons for wear or transmission-oil consumption.
- Check the carburettors, tank, tap and lines for leaks, contamination and correct setup.
- Check the 6V electrics, ignition, dynamo, wiring and earth points for reliable operation.
- Inspect frame, suspension, drum brakes, spoked wheels, bearings and tyres for safe condition.
- Verify type plate, engine and frame numbers and equipment against period documentation; do not confuse the motorcycle with the Adler Favorit car.
