About the Vespa Sei Giorni
The Vespa Sei Giorni is a limited GTV-based edition Piaggio launched in 2017 to commemorate the six Vespas that swept the gold medals at the 1951 International Six Days Trial, the famed Sei Giorni Internazionale. The 278 cc i-get liquid-cooled four-stroke produces 22 hp through a CVT automatic. Defining cues are the matte-grey body, the low race-style handlebar, a number plate on the front fender and a one-piece sport saddle with red stitching. The chassis matches the GTS Super: pressed-steel monocoque, 12-inch wheels, ABS and traction control standard.
The Sei Giorni targets collectors and Vespa history enthusiasts rather than riders looking for a daily scooter. Production volumes are limited; later Sei Giorni II (2021) and Sei Giorni III editions appeared in new colour schemes. The riding position is sportier than the standard GTS thanks to the low handlebar, at the cost of long-haul comfort. Resale value is heavily driven by originality, mileage and the matching certificate. There are effectively no rivals, only Vespa itself produces a retro-race styled scooter at this displacement.

What to check before buying
- Verify the serial number and limited-edition certificate are present; without paperwork the resale value drops sharply.
- Inspect the matte-grey bodywork for scratches and grease marks; matte paint is sensitive and refinishing is costly.
- Ask for proof of valve clearance service (10,000 km interval) and variator service; many Sei Giorni examples sit unused and oil ages regardless.
- Check the low race handlebar and sport saddle for originality; replacements are hard to source.
- Actively test ABS and traction control operation; the front wheel speed sensor harness is prone to oxidation.
