The Sprint 955i uses the larger fuel-injected triple and remains a comfortable, fully faired sport-tourer. Check injection and throttle-body balance, charging and cooling systems, service history, and confirm it is a 955i; the later 1050 Sprint ST has its own canonical model row.
The Triumph Sprint is a sport-touring line produced in two generations: the Sprint 900 (1993–1998) with an 885 cc inline-triple and the Sprint ST/RS (1999–2007) with a 955 cc fuel-injected triple. The Sprint ST was the most popular variant in the Netherlands: half-fairing, comfortable ergonomics, and strong mid-range torque for touring. The Sprint RS offered sportier geometry with reduced wind protection.
The Sprint targets riders who want to mix sport and touring without committing to a full-fairing machine. The ST's upright position is comfortable over long distances while still being capable in the mountains. It competes with the Honda VFR800 and Suzuki GSX-F range. The Sprint RS appeals to the more sporting end of the same audience.
