1981–1985 GT80L
GenerationThe West German GT80L is the custom-styled 79cc air-cooled two-stroke with four speeds. Assign this edition only to 1981–1985 GT80/GT80L adverts; name and capacity are not a reason to include GT50, GT125, GN80 or RG80 entries.
About the Suzuki GT 80
The Suzuki GT80L is a lightweight 80cc geared motorcycle sold in West Germany from 1981. It is technically related to the Japanese GN80, but the GT80L name, custom-like styling and European power specification belong to this separate market version. Its air-cooled single-cylinder two-stroke, four-speed gearbox and chain drive make it a classic lightweight motorcycle, not a GT50, GT125 or later RG80 model.

What to check before buying
- From cold, check compression and throttle response; a small two-stroke is sensitive to piston, cylinder and crank-bearing wear.
- Check the separate oil pump, oil tank and lines for operation and leaks; any premix conversion should be demonstrably correct.
- Inspect the tank, fuel tap and carburettor for rust and contamination after storage.
- Check brakes, chain, wheels and 6V electrics for corrosion, wear and non-original repairs.
