About Silence
Silence is a Spanish electric scooter brand, founded in 2012 in Barcelona. The company focuses exclusively on electric urban mobility and produces the S01, S02 and S04: compact electric scooters in the 125cc-equivalent segment. The scooters are known for their swappable battery packs, which allow charging indoors. Silence collaborates with taxi and shared-mobility services in several European cities. Since 2022, Acciona has been a shareholder in the brand. The factory is located near Barcelona and manufactures entirely within Europe.
In the Netherlands, Silence has virtually no presence; there are no official Dutch dealers and second-hand supply is very limited. The scooters are available through Belgian and Spanish importers, but distance to servicing is a consideration for Dutch buyers. Silence appeals to urban riders who want to ride fully electric with a practical swappable battery system. The brand is an interesting option for urban commuters who consciously choose a European-manufactured electric alternative to Japanese and Chinese competitors.
