About the Peugeot Squab
The Peugeot Squab is a compact historical scooter that preceded the Trekker family. Exact engine and year specification must be established from type plate, engine code and registration; the Squab name alone is insufficient for parts identification.
When buying, pay attention to CVT, brakes, tyres, forks and fuel system. Inspect old plastic parts and frame for damage, and check whether cylinder, carburettor and exhaust still match the registered version. A road test should be free of vibration or slip.

What to check before buying
- Check type plate, engine code and registration to establish year, displacement and exact Squab version.
- Check carburettor, air filter, fuel hoses, automatic oiling and exhaust for matching parts.
- Check belt, rollers, clutch and CVT for maintenance and a smooth road test without vibration.
- Test brakes, tyres, forks, steering-head bearings, battery, charging voltage and lights; inspect frame and body panels for damage.
