MGS-01 Corsa 2004-2007
GenerationThe Corsa is the limited, track-focused MGS-01 with a 1,225 cc V-twin, Öhlins suspension and full fairing. Low clip-ons and sparse race-oriented equipment identify it immediately.
About the Moto Guzzi MGS-01
The Moto Guzzi MGS-01 is a very limited-production sport motorcycle from the mid-2000s, developed around Moto Guzzi’s longitudinal 1,225 cc air-cooled V-twin. It combines a steel tubular frame with Öhlins suspension, Brembo brakes and shaft drive in a low, uncompromising track-focused package. The production Corsa is essentially a homologation-style track motorcycle: its riding position is extreme and practical equipment is sparse. Its longitudinal V-twin delivers power very differently from a Japanese inline-four, with strong engine braking and a pronounced mechanical feel.
The MGS-01 suits collectors and experienced sporting riders who accept its rarity and maintenance needs. It is not a sensible daily machine, and parts are not always immediately available. Look beyond cosmetics to the full service record, set-up and original specialist components. A complete example with documented specialist care is far more appealing than a cheap project bike.

What to check before buying
- Verify the complete service history and Guzzi-specialist invoices; limited production makes missing parts expensive.
- Inspect fuel hoses, injection set-up and electrical connections for age or storage-related problems.
- Check shaft drive, clutch and gearbox for noise or leaks on a test ride.
- Inspect Öhlins fork, rear shock and Brembo brakes for leaks, rebuild intervals and track-use damage.
- Check frame, bodywork and exhaust for crash or transport damage; original MGS-01 parts are scarce.
