Bellagio (2007–2014)
GenerationThe Bellagio is Moto Guzzi's compact cruiser with the 936cc big-block V-twin, shaft drive and a low, relaxed riding position. It shares the classic air-cooled construction of other Guzzi V-twins, but has shorter, custom-focused proportions than the larger California models.
About the Moto Guzzi Bellagio
The Moto Guzzi Bellagio combines traditional Mandello engineering with a low, muscular roadster stance. Its air-cooled transverse 936 cc V-twin uses four valves per cylinder, fuel injection and a six-speed gearbox. CARC final drive delivers torque to the rear wheel without chain maintenance. A relatively compact wheelbase, 18-inch front wheel and Brembo brakes make it more agile than its cruiser-like silhouette suggests.
The Bellagio arrived in 2007; the later Aquila Nera is mainly a darker styling version sharing the same mechanical base. Check valve and injection servicing, CARC leakage, the clutch, charging voltage and spoked wheels. A complete cold start and test ride are essential because normal Guzzi mechanical sound is different from harsh transmission or bearing noises. What to check before buying
- Inspect the CARC final drive and reaction arm for oil leakage, bearing noise or detectable rear-wheel play.
- Listen to the clutch and gearbox from cold and while shifting; harsh impacts or slipping require investigation.
- Verify valve-clearance, throttle-body balance and injection setup if the engine idles unevenly or surges.
- Measure charging voltage and inspect the battery, earth points, starter relay and connectors for corrosion or heat.
- Inspect spoked wheels, rim edges, wheel bearings, exhaust and fasteners for corrosion and outdoor-storage damage.
