The KTM 1290 Super Adventure R is the off-road-focused variant of KTM's flagship adventure machine. The 1,301 cc LC8 V-twin produces 118 kW (160 hp) and is paired with long-travel WP Xplor suspension (270 mm front, 220 mm rear), greater ground clearance, and spoked wheels shod with off-road tyres. The R stands for rally and is built for serious unpaved riding. Production started in 2017, with a comprehensively updated model in 2021.
