About the Indian Motorcycle Challenger
The Indian Challenger has been Indian Motorcycle's liquid-cooled performance bagger since model year 2020. Its 1,768 cc PowerPlus V-twin produces around 122 hp and substantial torque through a six-speed gearbox and belt drive. A frame-mounted fairing, aluminium frame, Brembo brakes, cruise control, ride modes and Ride Command display combine stability with modern touring technology.
Standard, Dark Horse and Limited versions share the same mechanical base while equipment, finish and electronics differ. Check software updates, infotainment, TPMS and accessories, as well as cooling, battery condition, belt tension and brakes. Some advertisements incorrectly state 1,811 cc or a Thunder Stroke engine; verify the VIN and PowerPlus designation. The Challenger is heavy and damage to the fairing, panniers or frame mounts is expensive. No exact safely licensed image was available, so an incorrect image was deliberately not added.

What to check before buying
- Verify the VIN, identification plate and PowerPlus engine code because advertisements often incorrectly state 1,811 cc or Thunder Stroke.
- Test Ride Command, Bluetooth, navigation, speakers, ride modes, cruise control, TPMS and all switchgear for faults or overdue updates.
- Inspect coolant, radiator, hoses and fans for leakage or stone damage and check for an overheating history.
- Check battery condition, starting and charging voltage because the extensive electronics are sensitive to a weak or stored battery.
- Inspect the drive belt, brakes, tyres, fairing and pannier mounts for wear, crash damage or expensive repair traces.
