About the Husqvarna TR 650 Strada ABS
The Husqvarna TR 650 Strada ABS is a road-oriented motorcycle powered by a 652 cc parallel-twin engine, developed in collaboration with BMW Motorrad during BMW's ownership period (2007–2013). The Strada is the road-focused variant of the TR 650 pair, alongside the more adventure-oriented Terra. Produced from 2013 to 2014, it is regarded as one of the last models from the Italian-Swedish Husqvarna era before the sale to Pierer Industrie. ABS comes as standard.
The TR 650 Strada targets experienced riders seeking a light, agile and functional motorcycle for daily commuting and leisure touring. The upright riding position, manageable 179 kg kerb weight and lively engine character suit it equally in city traffic and on winding mountain roads. Competitors included the BMW G 650 GS and Ducati Monster 696. The short production run makes used examples relatively rare on the market.

What to check before buying
- Check oil level and engine condition: the 652cc parallel-twin requires a consistent oil change routine; neglect leads to premature wear.
- Inspect the ABS unit and sensors: the ABS systems from the BMW-Husqvarna collaboration can malfunction with dirty sensors or old brake fluid.
- Watch for corrosion at the exhaust header flanges and mid-pipe; a known issue on European examples with high urban mileage.
- Check handlebar switches and cables for age-related deterioration: after ten years, original parts are difficult to source.
- Inspect suspension for fork seal leaks and rear shock spring fatigue; production parts are scarce due to the short manufacturing run.
