About the Honda CBR 750
Honda CBR 750 generally refers to the Japanese-market CBR750R Hurricane, a rare sport motorcycle from the second half of the 1980s. The fully faired machine uses a 748cc four-cylinder with high specific output and is more track-focused than smaller CBRs from the same period. As it was scarcely supplied as an official European model family, identification and provenance deserve special attention.
For a collector, the CBR 750 is mainly attractive as an original Japanese import. Check frame number, engine number and the correct R designation before associating parts or history. Inspect fairing, cooling system, carburettors and charging system; specific components are much harder to find than for a regular CBR600 or CBR1000. A complete, documented motorcycle is considerably wiser than a project assembled from mixed parts.

What to check before buying
- Check frame number, engine number and import documents; do not confuse the CBR750R with other CBR types.
- Inspect fairing, headlights and mountings for cracks and non-original replacement parts.
- Check radiator, hoses, fan and water pump for leaks and correct operating temperature.
- Check carburettors, inlet rubbers and regulator/rectifier for even running and charging voltage.
