1982-1983 600 TL Pantah
GenerationThe 600 TL Pantah is the 583 cc belt-driven L-twin from 1982–1983 with its distinctive angular TL fairing. Keep it separate from the 600 SL Pantah and later Ducati 600 models.
About the Ducati 600 TL
The Ducati 600 TL Pantah is an early belt-driven Ducati L-twin from 1982–1983. Its 583 cc air-cooled two-valve twin belongs to the Pantah generation that moved away from Ducati's older bevel-drive layout. The TL has distinctive angular touring bodywork and is not a 600 SL. On a used example, prioritise timing belts, valve clearance, carburettors, the electrical system and the originality of bodywork and frame parts.

What to check before buying
- Replace timing belts by age and documented history; have idlers, cam pulleys and valve clearances assessed at the same time.
- Check the Dell'Orto carburettors, intake rubbers, fuel tap and tank for contamination, leaks and stable setup.
- Check charging voltage, regulator/rectifier, connectors, earth points and starter circuit for reliable operation.
- Inspect the frame, swingarm, wheels, brakes and suspension for corrosion, wear and safe operation after long storage.
- Compare the distinctive TL fairing, seat, exhaust and fittings with period documentation; correct parts and finish matter for authenticity.
