EditionThe limited 2007 XBRR production racer for closed-course use. Its 1,339 cc V-twin, chain drive and race components make it non-interchangeable with a regular road-going XB.
About the Buell XB RR
The Buell XBRR is a very limited 2007 production racer developed for closed-course competition, not as a road motorcycle. It uses a 1,339 cc air- and oil-cooled 45-degree V-twin with fuel injection, five-speed gearbox and chain drive. Buell built the XBRR as a race-ready XB derivative with, among other features, a large ZTL2 front brake, magnesium wheels and fully adjustable race suspension.
An XBRR is bought as a collector or track motorcycle. Verify provenance, race-only status, chassis and engine numbers and any competition history before technical or legal assessment. Parts and settings are XBRR-specific; an ordinary XB or street-converted race bike is not an equivalent version. It requires documented maintenance of engine, fuel system, chain, brakes and suspension.

What to check before buying
- Confirm chassis and engine numbers, race-only provenance and documentation; a road XB or conversion is not a factory XBRR.
- Check oil/air cooling, lines, seals and thermal condition of the highly stressed 1,339 cc V-twin.
- Inspect injection, twin throttle bodies, wiring loom and race ECU for complete, correct and unspliced wiring.
- Check chain, sprockets, clutch and five-speed gearbox for circuit wear, correct adjustment and crash damage.
- Have magnesium wheels, ZTL2 brake, discs, calipers and adjustable suspension inspected by a specialist for cracks, corrosion and service history.
