About the Bmw R Nine T Urban GS
The BMW R nineT Urban GS is a retro-adventure variant of the R nineT family, introduced in 2017. It shares the same air-cooled 1170 cc boxer twin as the standard R nineT, producing 110 hp, but combines it with higher handlebars, longer suspension travel, a 19-inch front wheel and optional spoked wheels. The design is inspired by the classic R80 G/S of the 1980s, the beginning of the BMW GS adventure. Produced until 2023.
The Urban GS targets riders who want the character and reliability of the R nineT with a slightly adventurous, raised riding position. The bike is better suited to light gravel roads than the standard R nineT but remains primarily a road model. The upright position makes longer rides more comfortable. Competes with the Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC and Ducati Scrambler 1100. A popular choice as a versatile daily and weekend motorcycle.
