About the Bmw R 68
The BMW R68 was BMW's sporting 594 cc boxer from 1952 to 1954 and one of the first German production motorcycles capable of around 160 km/h. Overhead valves, shaft drive, plunger suspension and sporting equipment produced 35 hp.
The R68 is highly collectible. Correct numbers, sports tank, carburettors, exhaust and mudguards determine authenticity. Have a marque expert inspect crankshaft, slingers, oil supply, gearbox and frame repairs because replica and mixed parts exist.
