1991-1994 YB10 Dieci
GenerationThe 1991–1994 YB10 Dieci monoposto combines a 1002 cc Yamaha FZR1000 EXUP inline four with an aluminium twin-beam frame. It has one seat; do not confuse it with the later YB10 Biposto with passenger accommodation.
About the Bimota YB 10
The Bimota YB10 Dieci is an Italian sport motorcycle from 1991–1994 using Yamaha’s liquid-cooled 1002 cc FZR1000 EXUP inline four. It combines that five-valve engine with an aluminium twin-beam frame, 42 mm Marzocchi upside-down fork, Ohlins rear shock and Brembo brakes. From 1992, the YB10 Biposto added a passenger seat. Keep the YB10 separate from the YB6 and YB8, and inspect chassis and bodywork parts, carburettors, exhaust-valve operation and specialist suspension and brake servicing on a used example.

What to check before buying
- Inspect the aluminium frame, swingarm, steering stops and bodywork mounts for damage, cracks and poor repairs; YB10-specific parts are scarce.
- Check the Yamaha EXUP exhaust valve, cables and actuator for free movement and documented maintenance.
- Have the Mikuni carburettors, intake rubbers, fuel hoses and setup checked, especially after long storage.
- Inspect the Marzocchi fork and Ohlins rear shock for leaks, corrosion and overhaul history.
- Check the Brembo brakes, 18-inch front wheel, 17-inch rear wheel, bearings, tyres and charging system for safe condition.
