1994–1995 SB7 (GSX-R750 SP-R)
GenerationThe Superbike-homologation-focused SB7 with 749cc Suzuki GSX-R750 SP-R inline four and Bimota fuel injection. Keep it strictly separate from the larger SB6 and the V-twin SB8.
About the Bimota SB 7
The Bimota SB7 is the limited 750cc Suzuki-Bimota of 1994–1995, developed as a street-legal basis for Superbike homologation. It uses the liquid-cooled Suzuki GSX-R750 SP-R inline four, paired with Bimota's own fuel injection and aluminium Straight Line Connector chassis. Technically it is not merely a smaller SB6: the SB6 uses a 1,100cc Suzuki inline four, while the SB7 has the 749cc GSX-R750 SP-R racing basis. On a historic example, verify frame, engine and documentary numbers before identifying its exact specification or racing components.

What to check before buying
- Verify that this is a 1994–1995 SB7 with Suzuki GSX-R750W basis, not merely SB6 bodywork. The SB7 shares chassis and bodywork with the SB6 but uses a different engine configuration.
- Inspect the Bimota electronic injection, wiring loom, sensors and fuel connections for original, documented execution. This injection distinguishes the SB7 from the stock GSX-R750W engine.
- Test the engine fully cold and warm for stable response, with no incorrect wiring or leaks around the injection and fuel system. Have any injection modification explained by a specialist before purchase.
