About the Benelli Leoncino Bobber
The Benelli Leoncino Bobber is a retro bobber unveiled by Benelli at EICMA 2024 and launched in 2025. It is a 400 cc model based on the Imperiale architecture: an air-cooled 374 cc single with SOHC and two valves, producing around 15 kW (21 hp) and 29 Nm. The styling is unmistakably bobber: a low seat around 720 mm, a welded hardtail-look rear end with integrated swingarm, wide rear mudguard and a small lion-cub badge on the front fender. A single seat comes as standard; a passenger setup requires a separate kit.
The Leoncino Bobber targets A2 riders and style-led riders who want an approachable bobber without the weight or price of a Harley-Davidson Sportster or Honda Rebel 1100. At around 200 kg wet and with a low seat it is manageable for smaller riders. The ride is calm and relaxed - no sprint pace, but comfortable for town and shorter rides. Closest rivals are the Honda CMX 500 Rebel, Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and Kawasaki Eliminator 500.

What to check before buying
- Recent model: ask first-owner sellers specifically about factory campaigns and any open recall actions
- Inspect chrome on the exhaust and headlight ring for corrosion - visible after urban use and early winters
- Check the integrated swingarm/hardtail-look frame area for hairline cracks - bobber frames are more sensitive than a classic double cradle
- Test the single for buzziness above 100 km/h; vibration can loosen gaskets over time
- Ask for service history from an authorised Benelli dealer; parts lead times can be long
