K2 50 Namur Kat
EditionThe K2 50 Namur Kat, offered through 2002. It is a recognisable K2 factory trim rather than a separate model line; verify Namur marking and the actual air- or liquid-cooled hardware on the individual scooter before ordering parts.
Years
1998 - 2001
K2 50 Liquid Kat
EditionThe liquid-cooled K2 50 Liquid Kat from 1998–2001. This trim retains the 50 cc two-stroke and CVT but adds a radiator and cooling circuit; buy only when those parts are complete and leak-free.
Years
1998 - 2001
K2 50 Air / Air Kat
EditionThe air-cooled K2 50, sold as Aria/Air and Air Kat from 1998 through 2001. It uses a 49–50 cc single-cylinder two-stroke and belt CVT; identify it by the absence of a radiator and coolant hoses. Kat denotes the catalysed version.
About the Benelli K 2
The Benelli K2 is a distinct 50 cc scooter family from 1998–2002, not a classic motorcycle and not a variant name for the 491 or Pepe. The K2 combines a single-cylinder two-stroke with belt CVT, 12-inch wheels, a front disc and rear drum brake. The range included air-cooled Air/Aria versions, a liquid-cooled Liquid Kat and the Namur Kat. This profile covers only the 50 cc K2; the K2 100 is a different displacement and must not be merged merely from the name.
For everyday town use, the K2 is primarily a straightforward small-wheel two-stroke scooter. Buy on the cooling system and actual trim fitted: parts, hoses and settings differ between Air and Liquid. Check the type plate, year and any catalyst marking before ordering parts; advertisements do not always use K2, K 2, Air, LC/Liquid and Namur consistently. A healthy CVT, correct oil metering and a leak-free cooling system on the LC matter more than mileage alone.

What to check before buying
- Check the type plate, year and displacement: K2 50, K2 100, Air, Liquid/LC and Namur are not interchangeable.
- Inspect the drive belt, rollers, clutch and variator for slip, hesitation or uneven engine speed under acceleration.
- Check two-stroke oil metering, carburation and cold starting; ask whether the oil pump still works and which oil was used.
- On Liquid/LC versions, inspect the radiator, hoses, water pump and coolant for leaks, blockage and signs of overheating.
- Inspect the front disc, rear drum, 12-inch tyres, steering and wheel bearings, and wiring for wear, corrosion and old modifications.
