Compay 150 / Custom 150
EditionThe 149.58cc M191 four-stroke with automatic CVT. The 150 shares the heavier scooter basis with the 125 but has its own engine; order service parts by engine code rather than Compay or Custom alone.

Compay 125 / Custom 125
EditionThe 124cc M192 four-stroke with automatic CVT. It is not a 50 with a larger cylinder: it has a wet-sump engine-oil system and the heavier 125/150 configuration. Verify the year separately from the registration document.
Years
2004 - 2013
2004–2013 Compay 50 / Custom 50
GenerationThe 49.38cc Compay with the M320 air-cooled two-stroke and automatic CVT. The 50 uses a separate two-stroke oil tank; the 2.8kW figure is documented for 2008–2013 M320 registrations.
About the Aprilia Compay
The Aprilia Compay is a retro scooter family sold from 2004 in standard form and as the Compay Custom. The name covers three materially different engines: the 49.38cc M320 two-stroke, 124cc M192 four-stroke and 149.58cc M191 four-stroke. All use an automatic CVT and an air-cooled single cylinder, but the 50 has separate two-stroke oil injection while the 125 and 150 use a wet-sump engine-oil system. Never identify one from styling or the Compay name alone.
The 50cc version is a lightweight moped scooter; the 125 and 150 are heavier two-up scooters with different engine, brake and maintenance arrangements. Custom versions are chiefly recognisable by their different styling and lighting, while the frame plate, engine code and capacity determine the correct parts and fluids. The 50cc Compay is documented through 2013 registrations. Check the precise version and year on every used example, especially where an advert says only ‘Compay’.

What to check before buying
- Check the frame plate, engine code and capacity before ordering parts: Compay 50, 125 and 150 use different engines, fluids and service points.
- On a 50cc machine, check the oil-pump operation, two-stroke oil-tank level and smoke/running behaviour; do not ride with uncertain oil injection.
- On a 125 or 150, check engine-oil level, leaks and service history; these four-strokes do not use the 50’s two-stroke oil system.
- Test the CVT, clutch, drive belt, final drive and brakes from cold to hot, then inspect tyres and wheels for age-related damage.
