About the Triumph Trophy
The Triumph Trophy is a name Triumph has used since the 1950s for competition and all-round motorcycles, but in modern context it refers to the Trophy 1215, a large luxury touring motorcycle produced by Triumph from 2013 to 2016. The 1215cc inline-triple produces 135 hp and is packaged in a comprehensive touring infrastructure: electronically adjustable windscreen, side cases, adaptive semi-active suspension, and a TFT colour display. The Trophy 1215 was Triumph's answer to the BMW R 1200 RT and Honda Gold Wing Light.
The Trophy targets experienced touring riders who want to cover high daily mileage in comfort. Seat comfort is excellent, wind and weather protection is extensive, and the electronics package was comprehensive for its time. Despite its quality, the model proved a commercial disappointment for Triumph and production ended after 2016. On the used market it offers remarkable value for money.

What to check before buying
- Check the semi-active suspension for fault codes and correct operation; the adaptive systems are prone to errors and repairs require Triumph dealer access.
- Inspect the TFT display for moisture ingress; early examples showed pixel issues in cold conditions.
- Look at the on-board electrical connectors and USB charging ports for corrosion; they are vulnerable to moisture when riding in rain.
- Ask for service history on the inline-triple; valve adjustment and the rider electronics module require periodic attention at higher mileages.
