NH X 125 luchtgekoeld

About the Sym Symnh X
The SYM NH X 125 is the road-focused 125 in the NH family. It is a genuine production model and separate from the taller NH T: the X has 17-inch wheels, a lower seat and a more compact, forward-leaning street-bike posture. It therefore suits daily urban and commuting use better than the adventure-styled NH T.
There are demonstrably two technical NH X versions. The earlier version has an air-cooled 124.1 cc engine, five speeds and an 11-litre tank. The new NH X has a liquid-cooled four-valve engine, six speeds, 14-litre tank and 10.5 kW. Never use the model name alone for parts or filters: check cooling, gear count, tank shape and year. Both are light A1-suitable motorcycles with injection, chain drive, ABS and LED lighting.

What to check before buying
- First establish whether it is the earlier air-cooled five-speed or new liquid-cooled six-speed version; parts and filter data are not interchangeable.
- Test cold starting, idle and injection response; check ABS and engine warning lamps before the test ride.
- Inspect chain, sprockets and every gear for smooth shifting; the new version has six gears and the earlier one five.
- Inspect ABS discs, pads, fork and monoshock for leaks, damage and even operation.
- Check LED lighting, LCD/instruments, USB connections and tank/fairing for operation and damage, particularly for city-use drops or kerb damage.
