About the Suzuki DR Big
The Suzuki DR Big is Suzuki’s large single-cylinder trail motorcycle. The DR750 and later DR800 combine a substantial air- and oil-cooled single with a tall seat, long-travel suspension and a distinctive large tank. It is made for relaxed distance riding, back roads and unpaved surfaces that are not too technical. It has character and torque, but needs more care at low speed than a light dual-sport. Buy on maintenance rather than appearance: complete service history, correct carburettor setup and a healthy starter are decisive. Also check that exhaust, airbox and fairing parts are complete; original parts are not always cheap.
