2005–2006 Sport
EditionThe original TNT 1130 Sport combines the 1130 cc triple with black-red bodywork, 50 mm Marzocchi fork, Extreme rear shock and radial Brembo brakes. It is technically and visually a different trim from the later Sport Evo and Titanium.
About the Benelli TNT Sport
The Benelli TNT 1130 Sport is the original Sport version of the first TNT generation, built in 2005–2006. It uses the same 1130 cc liquid-cooled triple as the early standard TNT, with six-speed gearbox and chain drive, but is distinguished by its black-and-red finish and high-spec chassis. Black wheels and subframe, red tubular frame/swingarm, fully adjustable 50 mm Marzocchi fork, Extreme Technology rear shock and radial Brembo calipers belong to this specific Sport.
It is explicitly not the later TNT Sport Evo, which has a different production period and recognisable Evo belly pan, nor the lighter Titanium. With 101 kW and 117 Nm, the TNT Sport is a powerful, uncompromising naked for experienced riders. Its low 780 mm seat and firm sporting set-up give it a very different character from a modern all-round naked. When buying, verify original trim and maintenance history; ‘TNT 1130’ without a Sport designation does not identify this version reliably.

What to check before buying
- Check hot starting and cooling-fan operation; a known TNT complaint is refusal to start until the engine has cooled.
- Check all lights, dash warnings, charging voltage and throttle-position sensor for faultless operation; electrical issues and a badly set sensor can cause starting problems.
- Listen for a squeak or slipping noise from the starter sprag clutch; a weak battery can place extra load on this component.
- Ask for documented cam-chain and valve-clearance maintenance; approximately 22,500 km and 9,500 km intervals respectively are cited for the triple.
- Inspect the fully adjustable Marzocchi fork, Extreme rear shock and radial Brembo brakes for leaks, stiction, disc wear and correct adjustment.
