About the Benelli TNT R 160
The Benelli TNT R 160 is the flagship version of the 1130 cc TNT naked range. The R 160 was presented in 2009, entered production from 2010 and, according to model history, ran through 2016. It uses the 1,131 cc liquid-cooled triple with fuel injection and a six-speed gearbox, plus premium equipment such as a 50 mm Marzocchi fork, Brembo brakes, wave discs and carbon details. Its hydraulically operated dry slipper clutch is characteristic of the model and can produce a mechanical rattle at idle.
This is a powerful, rare naked bike for an experienced rider, not an ordinary TNT 1130 or TNT R. Quoted output varies by source, year and market from roughly 155 to 158 hp; verify registration, ECU/exhaust configuration and documentation for the exact machine. When buying, maintenance of the triple, cooling system, brakes and clutch, plus the condition of original carbon and exhaust parts, matters more than mileage or appearance alone. Production was limited, making correct original parts especially relevant.

What to check before buying
- Check the type plate, year and documentation: TNT R 160, regular TNT 1130, TNT 1130 R and Century Racer are not interchangeable versions.
- Check the dry slipper clutch for normal idle rattle versus slip, heavy disengagement, leakage or an inconsistent bite point.
- Check the triple for stable cold starting, even throttle response, fault codes and service of injection, spark plugs and valve clearances.
- Inspect radiator, hoses, fan and coolant for leaks, contamination and signs of heat-related problems.
- Inspect Brembo calipers, wave discs, lines, fork and monoshock for wear or leaks; also verify originality and condition of carbon parts and exhaust.
